I become a Carer after a family member needing home care. Watching carers, except a special few, providing what I saw as substandard.
I thought I could do better. I did do better, I believe I provided outstanding care within a care-home, but witnessed others provide shocking care. Watching it and speaking out didn’t work.
I felt like no one believed me or if they did NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT 🤥.
I couldn’t cope, my mental health was seriously compromised.
I jumped ship, I made my own way.
